The Paper Discovery Center needs your help to inspire youth, share history, and “Celebrate All Things Paper”. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Front Desk / Gift Shop – Greet visitors, collect entry fees, answer phones, assist shoppers with purchases
  • Visitor Experience Associate – help visitors make paper in our paper lab, help with our hands-on activities, help with large groups of visitors
  • Volunteer Educator for Field Trips – help school age children explore and experience the wonder of making paper, discovering the world of science, technology, engineering and math during one of our fun, hands-on school visits.

Training and support provided. We appreciate your time and talents!

Approximately 10,000 people come to the Paper Discovery Center each year. In 2012, more than 6,000 were school age children. They each had a STEM learning experience while at the Paper Discovery Center. Participation in our STEM programs has increased each year since we opened. By the end of the 2014-2015 academic year, we expect to reach 8,000 students per year with our STEM programs. We hope our volunteers will join us in this important adventure.
